HLB Survey of Business Leaders 2026

As a member firm of HLB International and representative of the network in Spain, Bové Montero presents the HLB Survey of Business Leaders 2026, an annual report that gathers the opinions of business leaders worldwide. This study analyses how companies around the world are coping with an environment marked by economic, geopolitical and technological volatility, and how they are redefining their transformation priorities.

Entitled “Business Leaders Reach A Pivot Point As Volatility Reshapes Transformation Priorities”, the report highlights a significant increase in business confidence, a greater focus on digitalisation, artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, and a clear shift towards more adaptable and resilient business models.

The main conclusions of this global business report are as follows:

• Leading companies are turning volatility into a competitive advantage. Rather than reacting, they are redefining their operating models, increasing their focus on customer-centric strategies and driving digital transformation as strategic levers.

• Business confidence is at its highest level since 2019, with 88% of business leaders feeling confident about their own company’s ability to increase revenue over the next 12 months.

• Despite highly challenging commercial and geopolitical risks, leaders expect global economic growth to increase in 2026. Overall concern about risk management is at its highest since the survey began, with cybersecurity risks leading the way.

• Top-performing companies invest more intelligently: they are more likely to use AI-based decision-making techniques (75% versus 56%) and much more likely (76% versus 47%) to increase spending on customer data protection than their counterparts.
