HLB Global China Service Forum – Invest in Spain

From 29 July to 4 August, the Bové Montero team attended the 2025 HLB Asia Pacific Conference in Shanghai under the slogan “Innovate, Elevate, Connect“. The delegation that travelled to China was led by Andreu Bové and our colleague from the China Desk, Senxin Xu, along with 150 other participants from HLB firms in 30 different countries.  This was the first time that Bové Montero had participated in a conference aimed at HLB network firms in the Asia Pacific & Emerging Markets region. 

One of the most notable events was the “HLB Global China Service Forum – Invest in Spain”, which aimed to attract Chinese companies looking to invest in Spain. The session covered investment opportunities in various regions of the country, such as Catalonia, and featured the participation of prominent organisations like ACCIÓ (the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Catalan Government) and Invest in Basque Country. Andreu Bové, Partner and Head of the China Desk, delivered a presentation titled “Solutions from China and Spain: Tax Overview and Legal Implications“, offering a comprehensive overview of the essential tax and legal considerations for investments between China and Spain. 

The event was undoubtedly highly enriching, enabling us to present our China Desk, actively contribute to bilateral relations between China and Spain, and further strengthen the ties with clients and partners in Shanghai.
