The business media Expansión has published its annual ranking of professional services companies in Spain according to their turnover and workforce. In this edition, HLB Spain, with a combined turnover of EUR 21.71 million, has moved up one place to the 15th position, compared to the previous year. A significant milestone for the Spanish firms that represent the HLB International network in the country.
There are currently four firms belonging to the Spanish HLB federation: Bové Montero y Asociados, Sayma, THM Eduardo Molina y Asociados, and Luján Auditores.
The ranking states that the workforce of Spanish audit firms has increased by 6.8% compared to last year, but it is the medium-sized firms that have added the highest percentage of new jobs, 8.9% compared to last year.
In the specific case of Bové Montero y Asociados, both its workforce and turnover have increased significantly in the 2022 financial year, by 13.5% and 16%, respectively.
These job creation figures, which are close to the highest in recent years, are due to, among other things, the opportunities offered to auditors by the new directive on corporate sustainability reporting.
This milestone for HLB Spain follows the TOP 10 achieved by HLB International in the International Accounting Bulletin ranking.
