On 20 and 21 March 2025, the International Fiscal Association (IFA) European Region Conference took place in Budapest under the motto “Tax Competition in Europe in 2025”. This forum, organised by the IFA – one of the leading international associations dedicated to the study and development of tax law and policy – brought together industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by tax competition in Europe. The event was attended by prominent international tax experts, government representatives and business professionals.

Among the attendees was Andreu Bové (Partner), who represented Bové Montero and reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to ongoing discussion and continuous updating in the field of international taxation. During the event, Andreu had the opportunity to participate in several working sessions and exchange views with experts from different countries on current trends in international taxation.

The conference programme covered key issues such as the mobility and residency of individuals and corporations, tax incentives and their impact on investment decisions, and the legal constraints on tax competition. Throughout the sessions, experts of different nationalities shared their insights on the future of taxation in a rapidly evolving global context.
