On the 25th and 26th of October 2024, the 33rd Congress of the Mediterranean Group of Auditors (AMA) was held in Turin, Italy. It is an organisation that brings together professional institutions from France, Italy, and Spain, aiming to help internationalise economic activities in this part of the Mediterranean. José María Bové, President of Bové Montero, was one of the co-founders of the AMA, contributing his vision to strengthen collaboration and professional exchange among auditors in the Mediterranean region.
The AMA Congress was a key opportunity to reflect on the profound changes taking place in the audit sector, as well as the new strategies needed to navigate a complex and constantly evolving environment.
Among the participants, representing our Firm, were José María Bové and Francisco Javier Rodríguez, Tax Director, who was also one of the keynote speakers and gave an interesting presentation on Inheritance and Gift Tax in Spain, addressing relevant aspects and developments in this area.
In addition, priority topics such as sustainability, digitalisation and resilience in management control were discussed during the congress. The event also included various round tables and interactive workshops that allowed attendees to share experiences and knowledge on best practices in auditing.
A closing session marked the end of the event, emphasising the importance of adaptability and innovation in auditing to strengthen public confidence in the profession. This congress in Turin reaffirmed its role as a fundamental reference point for auditing, and consolidated international collaboration in the profession.
