In September, the HLB Sports Festival 2024 was held with great success in San Sebastián, bringing together more than 150 professionals from the HLB International network across 9 countries, including Belgium, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Yemen, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. It was an unforgettable event that combined sports, networking, and business development opportunities.
The event began with a welcome speech by Jokin Aperribay, president of Real Sociedad, who officially inaugurated the festival. Following that, Borja Hermida, Head of Sayma’s International Area, and Coco K. Liu, Chief Growth Officer of HLB, shared the main objectives of the festival, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and strengthening the network globally.
One of the key moments of the day was the presentation by Jorge Fernández, Director of “Invest in the Basque Country” of the SPRI Group, where he showcased the business opportunities offered by the Basque region. Fernández highlighted the potential of the region as an investment destination, pointing out its focus on innovation and business development, which positions it as a strategic location for the growth of technology and service companies.
Not only was the event an excellent opportunity for professional networking, but it also featured sporting activities such as a football tournament, a cycling route along the Basque coast and a running session, fostering camaraderie and teamwork among the attendees.
