In mid-June, a session was held on the “Legal and tax keys to a real estate sale”. The meeting was organised at Consentino City Barcelona by the Women in Real Estate Spain (WIRES) group, an association of directors and managers in the real estate sector. Our partner Gemma Piñero, is a member of WIRES and was the guest expert to lead this talk.
The objective of this conference was to share strategies and best practices to ensure successful transactions in compliance with current regulations. Gemma shared a panel with Nieves Perulles, and both discussed the importance of proper tax planning to optimise real estate operations, highlighting aspects such as taxation on the purchase and sale of real estate, as well as the specific tax and accounting implications of each type of transaction.
Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss case studies, which enriched learning and facilitated the exchange of experiences. In addition, the event provided a networking opportunity for attendees to connect with other professionals in the sector, share knowledge and establish potential collaborations.
The WIRES breakfast not only provided essential knowledge on legal and tax aspects of real estate, but also reinforced WIRES’ commitment to further education and empowerment of women in real estate.
