As part of the celebrations of Sant Jordi’s Day on Tuesday 23rd April, the office of Bové Montero was once again filled with roses, thanks to the initiative of the Aura Foundation. Sant Jordi’s Day is a festivity that stands out in Catalonia for the exchange of roses and books as a symbol of affection and culture.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Bové Montero has collaborated with Aura, a foundation dedicated to improving the social and professional integration of people with intellectual disabilities. In fact, they were the driving force behind the first “Supported Employment” programme in Spain, a pioneer in the implementation and development of this methodology.
During the day, we received a visit from the Aura team, who distributed solidarity roses and bookmarks to all our colleagues, contributing to the spirit of solidarity and underlining our commitment to the well-being of society. This year’s motto was: “Our roses have superpowers”.
We are delighted to be part of this initiative again and hope to continue contributing in the future. Every rose we give represents our commitment to a more caring and empathetic world. We will continue to look for opportunities to make a difference and play our part in building a fairer and more equitable society.
In addition to Sant Jordi’s Day, there is also International Book Day. This day was created by UNESCO in 1988 to promote reading, the publishing industry, and the protection of intellectual property through copyright.
