On 20 September, the Spanish Association of Chemical Trade (AECQ) held its V Economic-Legal Conference. This is an annual event in which experts in the field try to shed light on the economic and legal issues of relevance in the sector.

 

In this edition, Bové Montero y Asociados explained the “New regulations and new criteria in tax matters”. Belén Fernández, tax partner, and Francisco Javier Rodríguez, tax director, addressed issues such as the mandatory use of electronic invoicing as of 2024, the remuneration of directors according to the latest resolutions and sentences, and the tax implications of teleworking.

 

During the session, other experts emphasized the importance of ESG for Spanish companies and an overview of labour regulations was provided, covering everything from the Family Law to wage transparency.

 

For the fifth consecutive year, this conference was an opportunity for companies in the chemical sector to gain knowledge about the latest developments in the chemical industry and to be prepared for possible economic and legal changes in their companies and in the industry.
