April 23rd is Sant Jordi’s Day in Catalonia, a traditional festivity that transforms the region’s cities into unique spaces full of culture and flowers. As tradition has it, women receive a rose as a gift and men are given a book, which makes this celebration something special in the Catalan culture.

As in previous years, Bové Montero celebrated this day together with the whole team in a solidarity way, collaborating with the Aura Foundation. The mission of this non-profit organisation is to help improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities through social and labour inclusion, following the “Employment with support” methodology.

Two members of the Foundation, who have experienced firsthand the great work it does, brought the roses to the Barcelona office and handed them out to all the professionals.

This type of action is part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility plan, which takes on greater relevance on its 45th anniversary, as it reaffirms its commitment to continue leaving its mark on society.

In addition to Sant Jordi’s Day, Book Day is also celebrated worldwide. This is a day established by UNESCO in 1995 with the aim of promoting reading, the publishing industry, and the protection of authors’ rights. It also commemorates the deaths of two great writers, Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare.
