The Spanish professional services firm Bové Montero y Asociados has expanded its partner structure with the appointment of Maria Luisa Ramírez, Beltrán Sánchez and José Luis Gómez. It is an internal promotion operation that strengthens the Audit, Transfer Pricing and Labour areas of the company chaired by José Maria Bové, with the purpose of reinforcing services to multinational groups with a presence in Spain or willing to invest in the country.
The auditor of accounts María Luisa Ramírez has held the position of Audit Manager until now, an activity that has grown by 13.4% in the financial year 2021-22. Before joining Bové Montero y Asociados (2019), she worked for 12 years at PwC, where she gained experience in auditing the accounts of both the public sector and non-profit entities, as well as the private sector of national and international groups, in addition to the implementation of internal control processes and the review and supervision of subsidies granted by the EU. Ramírez’s promotion now makes her the first woman audit partner in the history of Bové Montero y Asociados.
Beltrán Sánchez, expert in tax law, international taxation and business valuations in a wide range of economic sectors – especially energy and tourism -, joined the Firm in 2020 as director for the new area of Transfer Pricing, a field in which he has already had more than 15 years of experience in firms such as Deloitte and PwC. One of the main milestones achieved by the new partner throughout his career at the company chaired by José María Bové has been the consolidation of a specific Transfer Pricing team that serves in the Firm’s five Spanish offices and focuses on international groups. The activity in the department headed by Sánchez grew 58.8% in the financial year 2021-22.
José Luis Gomez joined Bové Montero and Asociados in 2008. He started as manager of a Legal-Labour Department which, at that time, integrated legal services in the fields of Labour Law and Social Security for national and international clients. His task during this period has been to create the Labour Department through the development of a specific professional team. Its full consolidation has allowed the area to experience substantial growth in recent years (in particular, due to the positive impact of advising German, Swiss and Austrian business groups through a German Desk that operates transversally in all the firm’s departments), with an increase of 30.7% in 2021-22.
