The “Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer in Deutschland” (IDW) is the Institute of Public Auditors in Germany, a private organisation based in Düsseldorf established to serve the interests of its members, comprising both German auditors and German audit firms. It was founded in 1932 and currently has about 12,000 members. The IDW works to promote the auditor’s technical expertise and to represent the interests of the profession, both nationally and internationally.
José María Bové (President and founder) and Ilídio César Ferreira (Partner) have been appointed extraordinary members of the IDW. Both are Chartered Accountants in Spain and fluent in German, so this appointment represents a new recognition in their long professional careers in auditing. Being part of the most important organisation of public auditors in Germany and participating in their activities will help to further strengthen Spanish-German relations and promote the service to German-speaking clients.
Founded 44 years ago by José María Bové, Bové Montero specialises in auditing, consulting, accounting, tax and labour advisory services. It currently has five offices in Spain and a team of 120 professionals advising a wide range of clients, many of them foreign companies belonging to major German groups. Its German Desk is made up of 40 professionals specialised in advising Spanish-German clients. The firm is a member of HLB International, a global network of auditors, tax advisors and consultants with a presence in 159 countries.
