Do you employ less than 50 workers? Get up to €12,000 of aid to digitise your company
The DIGITAL KIT programme is a new public aid programme, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, aimed at the digitalisation of companies. The main objective of the programme is to support the implementation of digital solutions that help companies to improve significantly their level of digital maturity.
The programme provides up to €12,000 for the digital transformation of companies with up to 49 employees. The grants are aimed at incorporating digital tools or modernising those already in use, such as the implementation of electronic invoicing, virtual office tools, and e-commerce or cybersecurity solutions.
Acelera pyme is the official portal where all aid will be processed. It will be the place to apply for the “digital voucher” and to contract the companies that provide the digitisation services. In addition to the application platform, Acelera pyme includes a “self-diagnosis test” to know the “Digital Maturity Level” of the company, which will be necessary to submit along with the application.
Once the aid is granted, the entitlement is called a “digital voucher”. The amount granted depends on the number of workers employed by the company:
- from 0-3 workers: up to 2.000€
- from 3 to 10 workers: up to 6,000€
- from 10 to 50 workers: up to 12,000€
To redeem the voucher, SMEs must select the service (or services) they wish to contract from among those offered in the “Catalogue of Digitisation Solutions” available in Acelera pyme. This is a closed list provided by the companies that register as “digitising agents” on the portal. The “digitising agents” will also be responsible for making the aid effective and collecting it from the Administration, for which they will have to prove that the contract has been formalised and that the service is being provided; the latter always within a period of 12 months.
The criterion for eligibility will be by order of application provided that the requirements of the call for applications are met. The deadline for submitting applications will be at least three months from the publication of the call, or until the budget runs out.
The first call for applications for the Digital Kit grants is due to start on 15 March and is aimed at companies employing from 10 to 49 workers. The aids will be granted in order of application until the budget for each call is exhausted; therefore, it is important that the application process is carried out as quickly as possible.
